1974 - Origins In the first months of 1974 Luciano Gnocchi, who had been responsible of the development and projects office of an important industry of the sector for several years, founded his own company starting to manufacture spiral mixers, that was a real novelty at that time. 1974 - The first exhibition In 1974 Sigma took part in its sector exhibition in Genova where the first models of mixers are exhibited. 1974-1985 - Development During these years Sigma made its products range wider facing foreign markets: from South Africa to North Europe, from Singapore to Canada and Brasil. The company could rely on several qualified dealers. 1985-2003 - Multinational experience Interested in an industrial strategic project, Sigma accepted the offer to join a world leading bakery group, with which it remained until 2003. In this year Sigma returned to be completely property of Gnocchi family. During all these years the company had the opportunity to share and develop the know-how of the group on different types of mixers. From 2004 till today Being again a completely Italian company gave an important boost to the revival and expansion of Sigma. With the goal to align the structure to new market scenes, new young and innovative people with managerial and organizing skills start working in Sigma assuming responsibility roles. After more than 40 years from the beginning of his challenge, Sigma with the same engagement and passion is today composed by a group of people listening carefully to customers.
